101.5FM seeks people who wish to communicate to listeners about the thousands of events, activities, sporting and service organisations held in our region every year and can do so in an entertaining way. People just like you.
101.5FM conducts in house radio training where you'll learn all aspects of this exciting and creative industry including:
- CBAA Laws and Regulations so you know what you can and can't do
- Operate equipment correctly to optimise your presentation
- Present techniques to deliver a smooth, entertaining program
- Basic radio production skills using cutting-edge software
- The computers used to operate the station
- Interviewing techniques to ensure your subject is the 'star'
- How to write a creative brief that effectively communicates on behalf of your clients
- Real experience at writing a radio spot and having it recorded and scheduled for airplay
- The different levels of radio licenses in Australia and what they all mean
- Much, much more...!
At this time the course costs only the annual 101.5FM Members' Fee. ($22 adults, $11 concession).
The course is very hands-on and runs every Wednesday night from 6pm to 8pm at the radio station in Caboolture for four weeks followed by a skills evaluation and presentation of certificates.
